• Biogeographic region: Alpine

• Altitude: 1358 m - 2935 m above sea level

• Characteristics: valuable area of retraction for many species since the ice-age, big differences in altitude, intensive agricultural use.

• Relevance of the area for tourism: The area lies apart from highly frequented hiking tracks. There are not any refuges only a few alpine huts offering local products.
